Green Light Carbohydrates


Green light carbohydrates are foods that give long lasting energy that speed up our metabolism. The combination of antioxidants, fiber, phytochemicals and vitamins enrich our diet with healthy alternative to refined carbohydrates. These carbohydrates are low glycemic and keep our blood sugars stable. Removing the red carbohydrates and replacing with the raw, dark green vegetables, vibrant colours of fruit and vegetables will satisfy us instead of processed, refined foods bring more vitality to lives. When making these choices we also have the opportunity to change the health of our loved ones and by example create a healthier family. Meals will have less refined sugar and fats; something I know I am avoiding having a family of diabetics and overweight individuals. Knowing I am doing something good for my body and mind by eating healthier is a empowering. Benefits of eating green light carbohydrates: -filled with antioxidants, phytochemicals, vitamins and they are a good source of fiber.
