Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent Fasting is something I have been hearing about in the last few months, listening and reading about IF and feeling good. Always had problems with weight, and with half of my siblings and parents being diabetic I am starting to believe this is a tool I can use to really help me.

Most of us already fast for 12 hours if we stop eating after our evening meal and from 8 to 8. Now that I have been eating in a 4 hour feast window and fasting for 20 hours I feel more in control and my body becomes a fat burning machine using my stored fat instead of extra carbs and glucose I would of eaten like I have in the past. As I research and experiment with this I know my body is intuitive and I will know how I feel. As I do this fasting and feasting 2-3 times a week, I am healing my body. There are days that are harder to stick to when I am fasting or because of family commitments that I reschedule my fasting. I am embracing how I am moving forward, this is a process and now at 59 I feel happy and healthier than I have in years. I am 160 lbs and just starting this journey so I will keep updating my progress here for myself.

If you are an older woman questioning and ready for a change I suggest you watch and listen to Dy Ann Parham, she has answered many of the questions I have. This is a new journey for me, so join me. Contact me, let me know what you think or where you are if you have been using IF in your life.
