Fake It Until You Make It: Begin and Step Into Your Shine

How many times have you heard “Fake it until you make it” At first glance, it might sound like a mask, a performance, or a trick. But here at kalinadigitalmedia.ca, we see it differently. It’s not about pretending to be someone you’re not—it’s about practicing the courage to step into who you already are becoming.

Each time you “fake it,” you’re rehearsing your future self. You’re calling her forward, inviting her to take her seat at the table.

Just like strength training, confidence grows with repetition. The more you embody your shine, even before you feel ready, the more natural it becomes. “Faking it” isn’t deception; it’s devotion. It’s choosing to walk in alignment with your vision, even when doubt whispers otherwise.

Begin Where You Are

At Kalina Digital Media, we believe beginnings are sacred. Whether you’re launching a magazine, writing your first blog, or stepping into a new role, the act of beginning is itself a declaration: I am worthy of this journey.

Start small: publish that first post.

Speak boldly: share your ideas, even if your voice trembles.

Shine anyway: your light doesn’t wait for perfection.

Imagine yourself shining on your magazine..

  • Shine is contagious. When you step into your light, others are inspired to do the same.

  • Shine is communal. Your courage creates space for others to rise.

  • Shine is legacy. Each step you take becomes part of the living archive of your journey.

So, fake it until you make it? No. Practice it until you believe it, feel it, know it!

Begin where you are, and step into your shine with reverence. The world doesn’t need a perfect performance—it needs you to STEP INTO YOUR SHINE!
