Inukshuk of Voices

On my front lawn, I have an Inukshuk. Every time I walk past it, I feel this deep reminder: I was here. It’s not just a stack of stones, it’s a symbol of presence, guidance, and belonging.

For me, Inukshuk is Kalina Digital Media in physical form. It’s the way I mark my place in the world, and it’s the way I invite other women to do the same. Every stone feels like a voice, every layer feels like a story, and together they rise into something that says: we matter, we were here, and we will be remembered.

Our Voices as Stones

Think of it like this:

  • When you share your story, you’re placing a stone.

  • When you honor your grandmother’s wisdom, you’re stacking another.

  • When you shine out loud, unapologetically, you’re building the monument higher.

That’s what the Kalina Digital Media and SiSTARS Network is all about. That’s what Global Grandmothers Magazine is all about. It’s women everywhere saying: I was here. -

My voice counts. My story is sacred.

-My why is simple: I don’t want any woman to feel invisible. I want us to leave markers—like the Inukshuk on my lawn—that future generations can look at and say, she was here, and because of her, I can be too.

-My creative spirit is my offering. My platform is my altar. And my why is to give back by empowering others to stack their stones, find their voices, and shine.

Call to Action

  • Place your stone: Submit your story to the magazine.

  • Join the circle: Add your voice to the SiSTARS Network.

  • Shine Out Loud: Share your truth today, even if it’s just one line.

Together, we’re building an Inukshuk of voices that will stand forever.

I was here. My voice is sacred. My story is a stone in the monument of legacy.
